Founders Hall

Founders Hall

Founders Hall, a three-storey residence hall, was named for “…the numerous persons whose work was instrumental in founding the University… ”

Ground breaking took place in late February 1964, and the building was opened to students in September of that year. The actual dedication was held on October 10.

The A.E. Knowlton Company of Bellefontaine, Ohio served as contractor for the project. In February 1966 contracts for Park Hall the east wing of Founders, and Maglott Hall, the west wing, were also awarded to A.E. Knowlton Construction.

The Founders Hall complex consists of Founders Hall itself flanked to the East by Park Hall and by Maglott Hall to the West.
