Heterick Memorial Library is the University's undergraduate library. Its purpose is to meet the diverse and changing information needs of the faculty, staff and students of the University by collecting, creating, organizing, managing, preserving​ and providing access to information sources, through library and information literacy instruction, and by fostering an environment conducive to academic inquiry, scholarly communication, creative achievement and lifelong learning.

Heterick Memorial Library is no longer accepting donations of print books or journals. As a library with a focus on a collection that supports the current curriculum, it is more time and cost efficient to purchase new titles than to review older titles that often duplicate existing copies in our local and consortial collections. There are two exceptions to this policy:
All gifts become the sole property of the library to use or dispose as the case may be. All such gifts are acknowledged, but donors who wish tax deductions for their gifts to Heterick Memorial Library must obtain their own evaluation.
