Renovated in 2016, the first floor of the library is home to the Mifsud Collaborative Center. Highlights of the first floor include the library's Creative/Innovation Space, Interview/Recording room, library classroom, a variety of group and individual study spaces, the library's information desk and the Northern Lights Cafe. There is no noise restriction on this floor.
This room is designed for online interviews and making recordings. It includes an easy to use Surface Studio, microphone, sound dampening panels, and enhanced lighting.
Reserve Room 123.
There are four group study rooms on the first floor that can be reserved: Room 103A, Room 103B, Room 104, and Room 104C.
Each room features whiteboards, as well as televisions that patrons can connect their laptop or other media devices to wirelessly, or via external ports located under each screen. Instructions for wireless connecting your devices are shown on the TV screen in each room.
Looking for a flexible space to meet your every study need? Visit the east side of the first floor! You'll find high tables, comfy chairs, moveable tables and tons of whiteboards in the creative/innovative zone.
The first floor also offers booths and tables throughout to provide a great place to study!
Comfy sway chairs and individual study pods offer some quiet space for individual study. Individual spaces are located on the northwest side of the library.
