Dr. Kathie Fleck will describe crisis communication, to which the old axiom to "plan for the worst and hope for the best" aptly applies. No one expects to be in the line of fire when a crisis breaks out but normal citizens, small business owners, church leaders and local officials may find themselves in just that situation. This talk will describe a few key ways to prepare yourself and your organization and tactics to handle the crisis at hand.
Dr. Jonathan Spelman will discuss the ethics of eating meat. You may not know this, but you think it's wrong to eat meat. In his talk, he will explain why you think that and what you should do about it.
