A couple books to get you started

Search Tips

When researching a topic, you may want to begin with a basic keyword search. Then when you find a book which suits your needs, click on the tab marked "Find similar items" and look at the subject headings in the record. Select one of the subject headings and you'll be taken to similar books available at Heterick or the Law Library. Don't forget you can click on the "Search OhioLINK" button and request books from other Ohio institutions.

Based on the assignments, consider these subject headings:

Juvenile Courts -- See also Domestic relations courts

-- See also Juvenile corrections

 -- See also Juvenile courts

--names of individual juvenile courts

-- See also Juvenile detention homes

 -- See also Juvenile probation

You may also choose to limit by geographic location such as county or state.

You may also want to browse the 3rd floor stacks to see what is available in the subject. Head to the area housing the 345.79408 which is the juvenile court section and take a look. At the law library, the LC classification is HV9069 .W4228.

Research Tips and Techniques

Finding Tools

You can search by keywords and subject heading in Heterick Memorial Library's catalog. Keyword searching is better for broad searching and for when you are beginning your research. Subject searching is better for narrower searches.
