If you have reason to believe that a person may have received an engineering degree from Northern, you could check this index. Like the alumni directories, it is limited to those who received degrees, but it predates the online directories.
The College of Engineering compiled its own list of graduates from 1882 - 1940.
The various engineering disciplines are noted by the following abbreviations
- AR = Architecture
- CE = Civil Engineering
- Chem = Chemical Engineering
- EE = Electrical Engineering
- Ext = Extension Students
- Grad = Graduates - no discipline specified
- ME = Mechanical Engineering
- MN = Mining Engineering
- SM = Sanitary & Municipal Engineering
- Spec - Special Engineering
- SD = Structural Drafting
- UG = Undergraduates - no discipline specified
