Checkout periods for Heterick Library items and OhioLINK items, along with information pertaining to fines for lost items, can be viewed on our Checkout Policies page.

After checking out an item from Heterick, library patrons will receive an email with the due dates for those items. Library patrons can also view the due dates for any items they've checked out, and renew those items via their My Library Account. Patrons can also contact the library for help renewing items by email at reference@onu.edu, or by phone at (419) 772-2181.

POLAR - Heterick Library's Catalog

POLAR is Heterick Memorial Library's catalog, which contains both our physical book collection as well as the e-books the library has access to. The above search box is set to allow users to search our catalog for these items. Physical items in the catalog list where in the library they are located, including their floor and call number, and electronic resources contain a link to allow users to access the source.

OhioLINK Catalog

OhioLINK is the state library consortia for Ohio. Library institutions that are members of OhioLINK share access to their resources with one another. This allows for members of those OhioLINK institutions to request resources from other OhioLINK institutions, if their home institution does not have the resources they are looking for. The above search box can be used to search the OhioLINK catalog, which indexes the various resources available at all OhioLINK member institutions.

In addition to searching the POLAR and OhioLINK catalogs to find e-books, you can also search for them in our databases. The databases listed below all feature e-books that can be accessed and read online.
