Downloading EBSCO eBooks

Can I download the eBook? YES, for up to 28 days. After that, you'll need to check the item out again and re-download it.

EBSCO eBooks can be downloaded using Adobe Digital Editions or the EBSCO Mobile App.

You can also read EBSCO eBooks in the browser and bypass downloading them completely.

If you would like to download an EBSCO eBook on a desktop, you will need to:

  • Create an EBSCO account
  • Download Adobe Digital Editions
    • You can create an Adobe ID, which allows you to access the materials in your library from multiple devices, or you can authorize only the computer and bypass creating an account.

  4. Once you've finished entering your information, you'll be able to log into your EBSCO account.

EBSCO Mobile App

The EBSCO Mobile App allows you to download their eBooks directly without using Adobe Digital Editions. An EBSCO account is still required.

Troubleshooting and Tips

  • You do not have to download the eBook to read it! If you don't need to access the book offline, the PDF Full Text link allows you to read the book in your browser without downloading.
  • You don't have to create an Adobe ID. There is a checkbox to authorize your computer without an ID, but you will only have access to the eBooks on that computer.
  • If the book isn't showing in Adobe Digital Editions, look in your Downloads folder. You may be able to open it from there if you have Adobe Digital Editions installed.
