What is a Personal Librarian?

  • A personal librarian is a librarian who is assigned to an academic department and is available to help students in that department.

What can a Personal Librarian do?

  • Personal librarians can assist you with your research papers and projects
  • Personal librarians can answer any questions you have about the library

Who is my Personal Librarian?

  • Bethany Spieth is the personal librarian for English Language Programs.
  • You can also contact the personal librarian for your department or major, or the personal librarian for the subject of the class you are taking. The chart below lists the personal librarian for each department and major.

Your Personal Librarian is assigned to you based on your major or department. See below to find the name and email address of your Personal Librarian.

If you are taking a class in a subject outside your major, you can also contact the Personal Librarian for that subject, even if they are not your Personal Librarian by your major.
