For each US state, the site has shaded relief, county, black/white (close), satellite, and 1895 atlas maps.

The Modern Language Association created an interactive map resource using census data from the year 2000. It is able to give you data for numerous languages, down to county and zip code levels. There is also a compare feature, allowing you to compare concentrations of different locations or languages.

A newer interactive map showing green places worldwide in major categories of Sustainable Living, Nature, and Culture & Society. The public contributes locations to be mapped.
