- Non-reserve materials at Taggart can be checked out for an entire semester without renewal; most non-reserve materials at Heterick check out for 3 weeks

- Accessible right from POLAR
- Patron-initiated borrowing system(you can request items yourself)
- Most items delivered to Circulation Desk within 2-3 business days
- OhioLINK materials are loaned for a 3-week period and can be renewed up to 6 times through “My Library Account” in POLAR
Interlibrary Loan

- For items you need that are not available through POLAR or OhioLINK
- Staff-initiated borrowing system that accesses libraries across the country (you need to ask a librarian to borrow items through ILL)
- Depending on item requested, turnaround time is generally 1-2 weeks
Citing Books
Rule 15 of the Bluebook governs the citation format for books, reports, and other non-periodical materials.
Remember: Citations for journal purposes adhere to the white pages of the Bluebook, not the blue pages.
