Circulation Overview

Circulation pertains to the processes that allow library users to checkout materials from Heterick Memorial Library. This includes updating the information stored in the integrated library system to establish appropriate checkout periods, sending notices to patrons when an ILL or a request consortial item has arrived, and fulfilling requests from other libraries to send our materials to their respective users.

Additionally, this area also covers the duties performed by the library's front desk circulation staff. Processes in this area includes the opening and closing of the library, as well as the training of student employees.
