Ideas

Ideas from May 2022 meeting:

  • Students seem to have gotten out of the habit of coming to the library to study, per the numbers. Spring was very quiet for finals week.

  • Could start the frequent visitor pass up again to encourage visits.

  • Personal Librarian emails: include pictures of student workers in their favorite spots to study in the library.

  • Students are still requesting additional white boards.

  • Personal librarian section: several parts to update. Added TikTok videos.

  • How to print: pantomime slides for the tv over the printers.

  • Events: suggestions for better things to track, or ways to track it? Right now, one of the main things is whether or not the snacks were eaten. Should we advertise things around campus with paper signage? Try to use the various social media outfits better.

  • Inauguration event for the new ONU president

  • Create a website to list the displays. IG has a linktree that could go to the display page. Use the carousel to advertise the monthly displays; have it link to the website.

  • SPC did a finals week thing in the library for the fall semester, but it was outside for the spring semester.

  • Various crafts as a destresser? (take and make)

  • Promotion of personal reference assistance?
