Data Management

Research data

Data is routinely collected as part of research.  This data can be qualitative or quantative and data is collected in many different forms including observations, numerical data, text, images, videos, etc.

Data management includes creating a data management plan and carrying it out, identifying who is responsible for managing and collecting the data, what formats or standards to follow in collecting the data and how the data will be stored and preserved and in some cases, how the data will be shared with other scholars and researchers.
