POLAR FAQ

Questions relating to POLAR - the online library catalog.

My Library Account

To obtain information about items that you either have in your posession or have requested, click on the "My Library Account" button on the POLAR main screen. You will see a verification screen where you will be asked for your name and barcode number.

Please Note - Your barcode number will be ID number as it appears on your ONU ID.

Items Borrowed

If you have items checked out, there will be a button "X Items currently checked out." Clicking on that button will show a screen with item titles, status (date due), and the call numbers.

In front of each item is a box which can be checked to renew an item or you can click on "Renew All" at the top of the screen.

Due Dates

Due Dates are noted in the Status box. It is an EXCELLENT idea to check this information to ensure that you do not have items coming due during a holiday break.

Fines

Any fines or unpaid fees will be noted at the top of the screen. For details, you can contact the Heterick circulation department at 2182.
